Meeting Overview
Nano@IAState is a single day meeting to bring together ISU, Ames Lab and industrial scientists and researchers working on the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials and applications of nanoscience.
The 5th Nano@IAState meeting will take place on Monday May 13th, 2024 from 9 am to 5:00 pm in the Memorial Union.
Meeting Agenda and Program
The full program for the conference will be posted in the near future.
Professor Christopher Ellison (University of Minnesota, Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science) will give a plenary lecture. Invited oral presentations will be given by Marek Kolmer (Ames Lab), Sid Pathak (MSE), Ethan Secor (ME), Alex Travesset (Physics), and Jing Wang (CBE). We will have approximately 8-10 oral presentations from contributed abstracts from students and post-docs. There will also be a lunch time poster session.
Registration
Registration is $50 for faculty/PI/Industry, $30 for post-docs/staff and $20 for students. Registration includes lunch and coffee breaks for the day. The registration deadline is Monday May, 6 2024.
Abstract Submission
Abstracts for contributed oral presentations are due by Wednesday May 1, 2024. You will be notified if your abstract was selected for a talk by Friday May 3, 2024. Abstracts that are not selected for oral presentations will automatically be assigned as poster presentations. Poster presentation abstracts are due by Monday, May 6, 2024.
Poster Presentations
Posters should be 4 feet wide or less. You can put up your poster on the boards in the morning before the start of the meeting or during the first coffee break.
